PB Kimchi Toastie Recipe
Elevate your sandwich game with our PB Kimchi Toastie—a fusion of creamy peanut butter and tangy kimchi, layered with melted cheese between slices of sourdough bread. This unique combination offers a delightful balance of flavours and textures, making it a must-try for adventurous food lovers.
Serves: 1
Ingredients –
2 slices of sourdough
1-2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp aioli or mayo
4 slices of cheese (Colby, Edam, halloumi)
1/4 cup kimchi
Salt + pepper
Method –
Spread a generous amount of butter onto both slices of bread. Flip over and spread peanut butter on one and aioli on the other.
Place cheese and then kimchi onto sourdough and close to make a sandwich.
Put a pan on medium heat. Once hot add the Toastie to the hot pan. Place another pan on top to create an oven - this will melt the cheese faster.
Cook for 3-5minutes each side.
If your sourdough is golden brown but the cheese hasn’t melted. Place the Toastie in the oven for 5-10mins until the cheese has melted. Alternatively use a toastie machine.
